Este proyecto ha sido ganador de la Convocatoria Artes Visuales 2024 realizado por la Alianza Francesa de Lima como parte del Convenio de Proyectos Culturales.
“Preludio:
1. Aquello que precede y sirve de entrada, preparación o principio a algo.
2. En música es aquello que se toca o canta para ensayar la voz, probar los instrumentos o fijar el tono, antes de comenzar la ejecución de una obra musical.”
La casa es el primer lugar de la creación cotidiana.
Casa Preludio podría ser un ejemplo de pleonasmo, esa figura literaria que define la redundancia poética pero necesaria: la casa, nuestra casa, es siempre un preludio a lo que seremos, pero también un espacio de creación en sí mismo.
Así, en este espacio de evocación-creación, las artistas Fabiola Gonzáles (FG) y María Yzaga (MY) ofrecen una experiencia expositiva que trasciende los ámbitos formales para convertirse en obra de proceso cotidiano que está en evolución continua. La disposición de cada pintura y cada objeto-escultórico anuncian tiempos o acciones inherentes a las exploraciones reflexivas y técnicas de la dupla Yzaga-Gonzáles, nos adentran en sus intimidades subconscientes para conjugar realidades y fantasías, convirtiendo objetos ordinarios en portadores de significado y memoria.
No es tarea fácil descubrir, mostrar pensamientos, sueños, recuerdos e interpretaciones cotidianas que nos conforman y habitan
inconscientemente. Es un intenso trabajo personal hacer de esas evocaciones, un territorio de creación: fusión de pinturas, cerámica, objetos escultóricos, ensamblajes e instalaciones que nos convoca a sumergirnos en un lugar donde convergen ideas, imágenes y sensaciones relacionadas al concepto Casa-Hogar.
¿Qué ha representado y/o representa la casa para nosotros? ¿Cómo se moldean nuestros hábitos y roles a medida que crecemos? ¿Qué anticipación de cambio, qué preludio de nuestras vidas resuena en cada rincón del hogar? Para responder estas interrogantes y comprender aún más el espíritu de Casa Preludio, convocamos a un personaje- Espectador/Participante en un diálogo imaginario y personal con las artistas.

This project was the winner of the 2024 Visual Arts Call organized by the French Alliance of Lima aspart of the Cultural Projects Agreement.
“Prelude:
1. That which precedes and serves as an introduction, preparation, or beginning to something.
2. Inmusic, it is that which is played or sung to warm up the voice, test the instruments, or set the tone beforebeginning the performance of a musical work.”
Home is the primary site of everyday creation.
Casa Preludio (House Prelude) could be seen as an example of pleonasm, a literary figure that defines poetic but necessary redundancy: the house—our house—is always a prelude to what we will become, but also a space of creation in itself.
Thus, within this evocative-creative space, artists Fabiola Gonzales (FG) and María Yzaga (MY) offer an exhibition experience that transcends formal boundaries to become a work of ongoing daily process.The arrangement of each painting and sculptural object announces times or actions inherent to the reflective and technical explorations of the Yzaga-Gonzales duo, inviting us into their subconscious intimacies to blend realities and fantasies, transforming ordinary objects into carriers of meaning and memory.
It is no easy task to uncover and reveal the thoughts, dreams, memories, and everyday interpretations that shape and inhabit us unconsciously. It is an intense personal labor to turn these evocations into aterritory of creation: a fusion of paintings, ceramics, sculptural objects, assemblages, and installationsthat invites us to immerse ourselves in a place where ideas, images, and sensations related to the concept of Home converge.
.What has the home represented and/or represents for us? How are our habits and roles shaped as wegrow? What anticipation of change, what prelude of our lives resonates in every corner of the home?To respond to these questions and further understand the spirit of Casa Preludio (House Prelude), we invite a character—Spectator/Participant—into an imaginary and personal dialogue with the artists.
